Here’s an update from Sam Hosey at LifeinLansing.com on the recruitment of one of Mid-Michigan’s top juniors, Lansing Sexton’s Denzel Valentine.
Denzel Valentine, 6-5 jr. Sexton – Denzel, a 3.5 student, has offers from Xavier, Drake, USC and once U-M headman John Beilein returns from Europe, the Wolverines will be offering. And as many have said, Valentine is the type of player that would do well at Michigan. His cerebral approach to the game and high level of skill make him a terrific prospect.

This is great for Denzel. I would guess that his all-around game would probably work well for almost any college.
He plays the whole game and he is a good all-around athlete. He is quick and can jump and he’s 6′ 5″ with a full assortment of guard skills. He’s also a really good rebounder and a skilled, tireless defender.
I would love it if he chooses Michigan, but I’m sure he’ll have a lot of good choices.
I neglected to mention he can score and shoot, too. Lansing fans will enjoy the Sexton Team and the Eastern Team this year.
Can you say Title Contenders in Class A and Class B??
Ow a Spartan’s son playing in the Maize and Blue. Wonder how Kathy and V like that. But it’s a great school. USC. Congrats
