Former Saginaw Arthur Hill all-stater Dar Tucker was recently dealt from Idaho to Los Angeles in the NBA’s Developmental League.
Tucker spent two seasons at Depaul, a god-awful basketball program, before putting his name into the NBA Draft pool.
No one on the planet thought he would get drafted, of course, and he didn’t.
As a Lumberjack, Tucker won a state title in one of the most entertaining and controversial championships in years.
The Jacks beat Okemos 85-84 in double overtime. It was an epic battle between Tucker and current Oakland University star guard Jonathon Jones.
Tucker, who many believed deserved the Mr. Basketball award as a senior, inexplicably chose Depaul and the rest is history.
