Former Detroit PSL standout, Jordan Crawford, dismantles Bowling Green

Jordan Crawford turned in one of the top overal performances of the young college basketball season on Tuesday night, almost single-handedly taking apart Bowling Green.

CINCINNATI – Sophomore swingman Jordan Crawford poured in a career-high 24 points, chased down seven rebounds and dished-out five assists to lead the Xavier University men’s basketball team past Bowling Green, 101-57, on Tuesday evening at Cintas Center. With the win, Xavier improves to 2-0 on the year while the Falcons slip to 1-1.

The 101 points marked the most scored by XU since its 108-70 win over Virginia on January 3, 2008.

Crawford’s 24 came on 9-of-14 shooting, including a red-hot 4-of-6 from beyond the 3-point arc. His previous career high was 21 points, which he registered against Northwestern on February 23, 2008 while playing at Indiana.

Mr. Basketball Brad Redford scored 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting from 3-point range.
