Maybe, maybe not: Will UM win a conference game this season?

Posted: December 31, 2009 by Jared Field in College

After Michigan’s 71-65 loss to Indiana, I’m led to wonder who the Wolverines can beat anyone in conference this season.

Keep in mind that Indiana was without their leading scorer, freshman Maurice Creek, and still managed to pull out the victory.

I’ve heard smart basketball people wonder aloud if Michigan could finish last in the conference. I don’t they will, but just the fact that it’s a possibility has to be demoralizing for the program after last season.

How bad is Indiana? Keep in mind that they just recently lost to Loyola, a very average team who had previously lost to major programs like Niagra, Canisius and Coppin State.

    I guess so….down goes OSU!

    • Jared Field says:

If you were wondering how OSU shot only 28 percent from the field in the second half, just keep in mind that Matta played three players all 40 minutes. To have no bench at this level is pathetic.

And what has happened to LLP?

      • Marcellus Miller says:

What happened is he is stinking up the joint right now….a former GLH massage board participant may have been right about him. “Shoot greater” he called him as a high schooler…may be true…

  2. Jared Field says:

I think he can help Michigan, despite his slump, because he’s a decent all-around player. He’s not a star like many Michigan fans believed he would be.

The biggest concern is that he doesn’t create his own shots and rarely beats his man off the dribble.
