From WHAC.net:

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Nathan Cox became the first Men’s Basketball player in Davenport’s 7-year history to reach 1000 career points as he helped the #19 Panthers to a 69-45 win over rival Aquinas College.

Cox is an example of a player who really came into his own upon entering college. He was a good player in high school, but certainly not a stud Now, apparently, he is. Cox, a junior forward, is averaging nearly 16 points a game with six rebounds.

Been watching the WHAC and it’s a pretty good NAIA/D2 league. Note Cornerstone beat GLIAC NCAA/D2 GVSU by 19, Aquinas beat GLIAC LSSU, and league leader Davenport almost beat MAC NCAA/D1 EMU. Most games seem to be pretty competitive, even the games that match up top to bottom teams. Good defense is played in the league too. Saw Cox play and he has a nice all around game. He doesn’t jack or gun for ppg, just gets his in the flow and via hustle. Gotta say getting to 1,000 points midway to Junior year is pretty impressive. EuroPro??
