Finally some good news: Noopy playing big minutes at USF

It has been a long time coming, but we finally have some good news on the Anthony Crater front. The sophomore point guard and former Flint Southwestern standout is playing big minutes for the University of South Florida.

From Hotbed Hoops:

Crater’s shot has been off and on, but he’s been firmly in the rotation since his debut in early January, playing 31 minutes against Pitt. USF coach Stan Heath has only been going six deep, so Crater gets starter’s minutes most games.

Crater has been in the news for all the wrong reasons since graduating from Brewster Academy in New Hampshire (he left Southwestern after his junior season). He quit Ohio State for lacking of playing time; he got caught riding with the ganja king in Florida and has been implicated in some of the craziness at USF. Hopefully he’s on the right track.
