New Lothrop’s Deandre Johnson commits to Indiana Tech

Posted: June 7, 2010 by Jared Field in High School

The latest Flint area player to be taken off the board is New Lothrop’s Deandre Johnson. The 6-1 combo guard will be playing his college ball at Indiana Tech. He averaged 12 points per game as a senior, but had eight games of 20 or more points.

Johnson is a power guard with potential as a point. He’s tough and a pretty competent shooter from 3-point range.

Indiana Tech competes at the NAIA level. It is the alma mater of one of Flint’s best and least-known overseas ballers, Jujuan Cooley.
