Three big JUCO games Wednesday night

Posted: November 16, 2010 by Jared Field in College

Check out these big games on Wednesday in JUCOland:

Kirtland CC at Lansing CC, 7:30
Henry Ford CC at Jackson CC, 7:30
Owens (OH) CC at Mott CC, 7:30

Mott and Owens is always a battle. Henry Ford slipped up early in the season and now they have to contend with a much-improved Jackson squad that put a scare into Owens last week.

Lansing is probably the sleeping giant in the state, with athleticism to spare. They take on Kirtland, a perennial pushover no more. They already have three wins on the season including against no. 5-ranked Grand Rapids. Kirtland’s most talented player, at least among the guys I’ve seen, has to be former Saginaw/Arthur Hill guard Jonathan Edwards.

Get out and support JUCO basketball.

Jonathan Edwards Is A Elite Guard Among The Best In The JOCO league. He Is Lightning Quick And Get To The Basket. He Can Handle The Tempo Of The Game He Needs To Develop A Three Point Shot And Shoot His Short 15 Foot Jumper More But From What I’ve Seen He’s Very Talented And If He Could Knock Down Some Of His Turnovers I Would Say He Can Lead The Firebirds To A National Title…
