Buckets: LaDontae Henton puts a beatdown on Arthur Hill

Lansing Eastern standout and front-runner for Michigan Mr. Basketball, LaDontae Henton, ran over, around and through Saginaw Arthur Hill Tuesday night at Don Johnson Fieldhouse in Lansing.

From Mlive:

About nine months ago, Lansing Eastern’s LaDontae Henton despised Zuidema Gymnasium.

It had everything to do with the Quakers’ 19-point Class A regional semifinals loss to eventual state champ Kalamazoo Central, in which he was hampered by foul trouble and an injured knee.

If Henton learned to like the Maroon Giants’ gym a bit more Tuesday night, then you could hardly blame him.

The explosive 6-foot-7 senior forward put on a show for the ages, as he finished with 39 points, 19 rebounds, six blocks and three steals in Eastern’s 85-79 victory over Saginaw Arthur Hill in the inaugural Don Jackson Holiday Invitational.

Mr. Basketball is his to lose, in my opinion. No one is more dominant or more vital to his team than Henton.
