Former Lapeer West standout Chris Hutton has huge weekend in Texas

Former Lapeer West standout and Albion junior guard Chris Hutton, provided an offensive spark for the Britons off the bench last weekend as he scored 44 points in two games at a tournament hosted by Southwestern, Texas. He scored 19 points, including five 3-pointers, in a 60-54 loss to Trinity, Texas, then poured in 25 points, including six 3-pointers, in 25 minutes of action in a win over Southwestern, 74-63.

Hutton, who is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in his career, made 15 of 26 shots from the field (58 percent) in the two games, including 11 of 20 (55 percent) from 3-point range.
