FLINT, Michigan — Mott Community College, fresh off a 17-point win over a solid Oakland CC squad, will lock up with Kirtland at the Steve Schmidt Gymnasium in Flint at 3 p.m. today.

Kirtland has an impressive 13-5 record, though only a 3-3 record in conference. Mott comes into the game at 17-2 overall and 5-1 in the conference.

Mott sophomore Mike Brigham should be in uniform today after missing the OCC game due to a violation of team rules. Mott is ranked no. 4 in the latest NJCAA national poll.

  1. Mott fan says:

So…how did the ladies game end up?? *eye roll*

HOW THE HELL CAN A PROGRAM ONLY HAVE SIX PLAYERS??? Coach Hughley needs to make a decision.

  2. A. Biggers says:

I was impressed by KCC’s Edwards (No. 0). That kid has a lot of hustle, despite being vertically challenged. I liked their big men, too.

Kirtland was much better than I anticipated. Much better. I’d have to say the Firebirds were the toughest team Mott played at home, even tougher than LCC, but not by much.

  3. A. Biggers says:

Mott played with just four the final two minutes.

  4. A. Biggers says:

Clarification: one fouled out, and I understand one player is academically/otherwise ineligible… to my knowledge, so there are now just five available… But the Bears finished with just four against Kirtland.
