Iron Man 2011: PLP looks to break state record held by former teammate

Posted: March 4, 2011 by Jared Field in High School

The MHSAA record for most consecutive high school basketball games played is 105. Currently, the record is held by Patrick O’Brien, who played four years on the varsity squad at Flint Powers before going to Saginaw Valley State. He set the record about this time last season. Patrick Lucas- Perry, O’Brien’s former teammate, has 102 consecutive games played for his career, and it’s not over yet.

Lucas-Perry will break the record barring an upset loss early in the playoffs.

I think Goodrich finally knocks Powers out this year. Something tells me they may take them lightly because they had a quite 15-5 season. They did just beat SWA by almost 30!

Being a Martian grad, i do want Goodrich to win. They seem to have it made with the win over Southwestern, but they do not play together. It will be a tough game, maybe like 2 years ago at Lake Fenton.
