Take four: Alex Legion to leave Illinois

The former standout guard at Detroit Country Day is leaving Illinois, according to a report in the Sporting News.

Legion originally committed to Michigan before backing out when Tommy Amaker was fired. He then went to Kentucky before transferring to Illinois.

No one, including yours truly, would have ever guessed that Legion would fall so far so fast. He was an incredible talent in high school.

He just didn’t see much of the floor at Illinois.

    I forgot all about Legion. He got some pretty good PT at Kentucky as a freshman. Too much of a head case.

  2. Legion transferring to Florida International University to play for Isaiah Thomas…seems appropriate I think…
