Interview: Anthony Pendleton talks to the Flint Journal

Posted: July 14, 2010 by Jared Field in Professional

Here’s a great interview with Anthony Pendleton, a member of one of the greatest high school teams (probably) ever. Pendleton, an excellent player in his own right, was on the same team with Glen Rice, Jeff Grayer and Andre Rison. Both Grayer and Rice went to the NBA, and Rison is one of the most talented wide receivers to ever play in the NFL. I wish I could have seen these guys.

  1. Alphonso says:

    The best ever from Flint.

  2. Marcellus Miller says:

Definitely….Someone showed me a film from a game they played at Crisler area back then. Fans came in droves. I also know they used to play at Cobo as well…and that team had much more than just those four too…

  3. Al says:

uh folks….lets not forget Flint Central from 83’….I dont care who played where after college (i.e. Grayer and Rice), their was not a player on that Northwestern team, and I repeat, not a player on that Northwestern team, that could have literally carried the jock of the greatest flint guard ever……Mark Harris …not to mention the more publicized ET and Marty Embry….Great team, but not the best…Mark Harris was a wizard on a whole different level than Pendleton, Rice, Rison or Grayer and even Mateen or Charlie Bell….ask the old schoolers…not even a discussion to be made!

  4. SBell says:

Do you know what “literally” means?

  5. Marcellus Miller says:

Mark Harris was a great, not good, but great player! But to say he was on a whole different level than Rice is getting close to ridiculous…
