Desmon Farmer, who played in the shadow of a younger and more heralded Kelvin Torbert in high school at Flint Northwestern, may be closing in on another shot at the NBA.
Farmer, who recently chalked up the first triple-double of the season in the D-League, was named the player of the week and is getting props from Hotbed Hoops – a friend to Flint basketball.
The NBADL has a reputation for being a clearinghouse for offensive-minded players with a lot of talent, but often without the broader skill set required by the NBA.
But, triple-doubles don’t come by accident. Farmer has point guard handle at 6-5, so don’t be surprised if the NBA comes calling before long.
