Sibling rivalry: Torrian Harris to match up against Draymond Green tonight

Here’s a nice little anecdote about tonight’s exhibition game at Michigan State from greenandwhite.com

Last season, Isaiah Dahlman got the chance to play against his brother when the Michigan State men’s basketball team hosted Wofford in a nonleague game.

Junior forward Draymond Green will get his turn tonight.

Green’s older brother, Torrian Harris, is a senior guard for Nebraska-Omaha. The two will square off when the Mavericks take on the Spartans in MSU’s second and final exhibition game at 7 p.m. at the Breslin Center

I’ve seen Torrian Harris play on numerous occasions, so I can say this with some degree of certainty: If Draymond Green had Harris’ athletic ability, he’d be in the NBA right now. Torian Harris is one of the most explosive athletes I’ve seen up close. This guy was a flat-out warrior for Lansing CC before moving on to Nebraska-Omaha. An undersized scrapper at 6-1 (even that’s an exaggeration), Harris routinely led his team in rebounds and even in scoring on occasion. He often played a forward position at LCC because he was such a dynamic athlete.

To be honest, he’s quite similar to Green in that both aren’t prototype position players, but they play the game the right way.
